Driven by a need to discover the truth amidst global and internal conflict, over the last four years, I have traveled along seven world borders, which are represented in this body of work. Through this cohesive portfolio, I aim to evoke perspective, empathy, and an understanding of the complexities these webs of culture, people, governments, religion, and geography embody. To this end, these images tell the story of these borders, simultaneously highlighting their beauty while exposing their harsh, often unseen realities. Borders divide people. As such, I advocate for the human condition. The world is not black and white. I strive to reveal the gray. With this, I present to you the “Beyond Borders” cohesive.
